Position Overview:
The Restaurant Hostess is the welcoming face of the restaurant, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. This role involves managing reservations, seating arrangements, and ensuring seamless communication between guests and the service team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Reception and Seating:
   1. Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor.
   1. Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and introducing the server.
   1. Manage seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
2. Reservation Management:
   1. Handle reservations via phone, email, or online platforms.
   1. Maintain an accurate reservation book or system and update seating plans.
   1. Communicate special requests or preferences to the service and kitchen teams.
3. Customer Service:
   1. Address guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns courteously and efficiently.
   1. Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant offerings.
   1. Ensure guests feel valued and attended to throughout their dining experience.
4. Coordination and Communication:
   1. Liaise with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
   1. Inform the team of VIP guests, special occasions, or dietary needs.
   1. Monitor dining room activities to identify opportunities for improved service.
5. Ambiance and Presentation:
   1. Ensure the hostess area, menus, and dining space are clean and presentable.
   1. Monitor lighting, music, and temperature to maintain a comfortable atmosphere.
   1. Decorate or arrange special setups for events or celebrations as needed.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a hostess or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Proficiency in reservation management systems is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
